Swans

     Mrs. Bevan is the teacher of the Swans and has a class of Year 2 children. She is also acting deputy headteacher.

           She enjoys learning lots of new things on the computer and has done many college courses to improve her knowledge. At the moment she is very busy as she has just become a grandmother and enjoys spending lots of time with her new grandson George, Robert.

 Kingsfishers

     The Kingsfishers is a mixed class of Year 1 and Year 2 children.  Miss Jenkins is the new teacher and enjoys doing lots of new things with her class.

 Ducklings

Miss Bayliss has now taken

charge of the Ducklings class. 

This is a Reception class and

they are very involved with the Foundation Phase, a new iniative which incorporates learning through the medium of play. I know the children are doing very well and especially enjoy the outdoor experiences. 

 Cygnets

    Mrs. Heath has been at Sandy  

    Lane for many years and with  

    almost 30 years teaching  

    experience is a very valued

    member of staff.

    The cygnets is a Reception and 

    Year 1 mixed class.

        Mrs. Heath has lived around

   Caldicot for most of her life and

   her detailed local knowledge is

   of benefit to all in the school.

 Tadpoles

       Mrs. Powell (Miss Williams is now married) is our nursery teacher. She has worked at Sandy Lane for some time and has lots of enthusiasm in her work.  She is often the parents first contact with the school and so plays an important role in welcoming children to our extended family of

Sandy Lane Infant School.
